Not every card needs a slab to be worth showing. A completed Pokemon evolution line, a run of your favorite Magic: The Gathering art or a team set of baseball cards often looks best as a group, and that is what the HEYTUYA frame is designed for. Each 11 by 14 inch frame has a black mat with openings for nine standard trading cards, the familiar 2.5 by 3.5 inch size, and the pack includes two frames.

Frame and cover

The frame uses wood construction with a wood grain black finish, and the black mat gives each card a clean border. Instead of glass, the front is a clear HD plastic that HEYTUYA calls plexiglass. You get a glass-like view without the risk of shards if the frame falls, a sensible choice for kids' rooms or a game room where things get bumped.

Hanging and layout

Sturdy hanging hardware comes attached, so the frames are ready for the wall as soon as the cards are in. Two matching frames give you options: hang them side by side for an 18 card display, split a set between two rooms, or keep one aside as a gift. A grid of nine also mirrors a standard binder page, which makes it easy to pull a favorite page out of the binder and onto the wall.

Limits to know

HEYTUYA does not claim UV protection for the cover, so hang these frames away from windows and strong spotlights. The mat openings are made for standard cards, which means slabs and thick holders are not the intended fit. If a card is valuable enough to grade, it is better off in a sealed holder than behind a mat.
