ziotl-mtg-dice-advent-calendar-24-days-with-life-counters-and-dice-tray
ZioTL MTG Dice Advent Calendar, 24 Days with Life Counters and Dice Tray

A countdown built for Magic: The Gathering tables

Most calendars on this page are RPG-first. The ZioTL flips that order: it is an MTG advent calendar whose 24 compartments are stocked with the gear a Magic player reaches for during a match. You get assorted polyhedral dice, status modifier dice, life counter spinners, dragon-themed PU foldable dice trays, a drawstring storage pouch and engraved metal token coins, all described as compatible with MTG, D&D and most tabletop RPGs.

Gear for tracking a game

In Magic, dice handle bookkeeping more than they decide outcomes. Life counter spinners track life totals, status modifier dice can mark counters or temporary effects, and metal token coins stand in for creature or treasure tokens. ZioTL describes the tokens and counters as solid and scratch-resistant, made for repeated gameplay. For a Commander pod, that combination replaces the scraps of paper that usually pile up next to the battlefield.

Trays and portability

The listing mentions foldable trays in the plural, which suits a multiplayer table where each player wants a rolling area of their own. The soft PU surface stops dice from skittering off the table, and the trays fold flat to travel with the pouch. ZioTL positions the set for home campaigns, game parties, travel and weekend meetups with friends.

RPG crossover

The polyhedral dice have bold numbers and, according to ZioTL, balanced weight for fair rolling. They work for D&D and other RPGs, so someone who splits time between Magic and a weekly campaign gets use from both halves of the box. The listing does not say whether the polyhedrals come as complete seven-piece sets, so do not count on a matched set for a character.

Listed contents

24 compartments of gaming accessories

Assorted polyhedral dice and status modifier dice

Life counter spinners

Dragon-themed PU foldable dice trays

Drawstring storage pouch and engraved metal token coins

Availability

The Amazon listing currently shows a future ship date rather than in-stock status. In practice, it may ship later than the other calendars here, which matters if you want the first compartment opened on December 1. Order early, or pick one of the in-stock calendars if the start date is non-negotiable.

Who it is for

This calendar ranks sixth for a D&D-focused audience, not because the contents are weak, but because it serves a different player. If the person you are shopping for plays Magic: The Gathering first and RPGs second, it deserves the top spot on your own list, and the trays and tokens will see use every game night.

https://www.dice-armory.com/products/ziotl-mtg-dice-advent-calendar-24-days-with-life-counters-and-dice-tray
